Kavalan up for Pongal release

Vijay is a relieved man these days. His upcoming venture Kaavalan, which had to face several hurdles, will finally be making it to theatres on Pongal. The movie was given a clean `U' certification from the censors with just two minor cuts. Reportedly, the words `Oomai' (mute) and `Sandiyar' (anti-social) have been removed from one of the dialogues.

Vijay, who is expecting to recreate the magic of his combo with Siddique, says, "It is not a typical action flick with an opening song and stuff like that. Siddique has presented a beautiful, simple romantic comedy."

Perfect for a Pongal release...it seems!
